Jeffrey S. Mogil | Chief Executive Officer
Jeffrey graduated from The University of Rhode Island in May of 1980 with a B.S. degree in Insurance and Marketing. In June of 1980 he started his Insurance career with Fred S. James and Co. in NYC. as a Marketing Representative in the “Large Line’s Casualty unit”. After one year at Fred S. James and Co., Jeffrey took an Account Executive position with Frankel & Co. In January of 1983, Jeffrey joined his father, Alvin Mogil, in the Alvin Mogil Agency Inc. He started concentrating on the production of new commercial business and the servicing of existing accounts. Slowly, Jeffrey and his father grew the company with the addition of his older brother Ken (who passed away in 2004) and his younger brother Bob, who joined in 1988. In 1993 the firm was renamed “The Mogil Organization,” and in 1994 Alvin Mogil passed away. Currently, Jeffrey is the CEO of The Mogil Organization and manages the daily operations. Jeffrey is also responsible for Mergers and Acquisitions and for the expansion of our locations (including opening and managing the Florida Boca Raton Office). Jeff, continues to produce a variety of clients in the areas of: commercial, personal, high net worth personal and life insurance.
Robert Mogil | President
Bob graduated from Duke University in 1983 with a A.B. degree in Economics. His insurance career began as an Account Executive in the Marine & Energy Unit at Marsh & McLennan. After working at Marsh for several years, Bob switched to the Excess & Surplus area working at New Amsterdam Excess (A subsidiary of Fred S. James). He then joined Alvin Mogil Agency, Inc. in 1988. At that time Alvin Mogil Agency, Inc. had 5 employees, 3 of which were his brothers and father. Bob, is the President of the The Mogil Organization. The firm has since changed its name to The Mogil Organization and has seen revenue growth by 1,800 percent. Bob’s father, Alvin, passed away in 1994 and his older brother, Ken, passed away in 2004. Bob currently produces a wide variety of accounts, ranging from Financial Institutions, Law Firms, Social Service Organizations, Real Estate and High Net Worth Personal Accounts.
Steven Levine | Executive Vice President
Steven graduated from Ithaca College in 1988 with a degree in finance. He began his career at the Travelers Insurance Company specializing in the life and health segment. In 1990, Steven moved over to the brokerage side of the business and developed the concept of employer based affinity group marketing. Steven implemented the concept of work environment insurance placement. This new concept allowed professionals the opportunity to purchase property and casualty products utilizing their employment status with discounts not available otherwise. The Mogil Organization is proud to represent some of the largest Global Legal Institutions in this capacity.
In 2000 Steven joined the Mogil Organization, LLC, and he specializes in employer based insurance placement including obtaining insurance for unique and often complicated personal lines risks. His expertise extends to yacht coverage, large fine arts schedule, watercraft pollution and fractional aircraft placement.
Sonya T. Horton | Chief Operating Officer
Sonya graduated from Long Island University in May of 1994 with a B.S. degree in Psychology. In November 1991 she started her insurance career in NYC as a personal and commercial lines technical assistant. In May of 1998 she joined The Mogil Organization in the Commercial Lines Department. In September of 2015 she was appointed Chief Operating Officer.
Sonya has assisted in Mergers and Acquisitions. She specializes in Middle to Large Commercial Lines Accounts. She also manages the day to day operations.
Stephen Varvaro | Chief Financial Officer
Stephen graduated from the College of Staten Island in May of 1992 with a B.S. degree in Accounting. In April of 2011 he joined the Mogil Organization as the Accounting Manager and in October 2020 was named the Chief Financial Officer. Stephen assists in Mergers and Acquisitions and manages all financial aspects of the business including accounting practices, budgeting, financial analysis, monitoring of financial performance and operates the Human Resource department.

Anita Secchiano | Personal Lines Manager
Anita started working as a file clerk and then as a personal lines assistant at Murray Schoen and Homer Inc. in New Rochelle, NY. She worked at BNC Insurance Agency as an account Executive. In 2004, she was named Senior account Executive, and by 2014 she was promoted to Personal Lines Team Leader. Anita joined The Mogil Organization in 2016 as The Personal Lines Manager bringing over 18 years of experience with her in personal insurance.
Anita specializes in High Net Worth Clients and she specializes in cross selling with the Commercial Lines Team.
Jennifer Stein | Commercial Lines Manager
Jennifer began her insurance career in 2000 working for a small local agent on Long Island. She quickly became an Account Executive for the Commercial Lines Department working for several large agencies. She joined The Mogil Organization in 2014 as a Senior Account Executive. In 2016 she became the Commercial Lines Manager.
Jennifer’s expertise is in Large NYC Contractors and Real Estate Development. Jen also specializes in cross selling with the Personal Lines Team.
Michelle K. Hall | Vice President Private Client Group
Michelle joined Mogil as Vice President of the Private Client Group. She has over 20 years of experience in the personal lines insurance marketplace and in the high net worth arena. Michelle comes to us with a wealth of knowledge. She is a graduate of St. John’s University and passed all four parts of the Uniformed CPA exam.
